About qualification

This qualification provides a trade outcome in carpentry, covering work in residential and commercial applications. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as a specialist field of work. The training and assessment leading to recognition of skills for the purpose of this courses are undertaken in a real/actual or a very closely simulated workplace environment. The course is highly recognised by the building and construction industry as the trade level program for carpentry and covering work. This course prepares candidates to start a career in carpentry and joinery.

Training Package Rules

To attain CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry, the following units must be achieved:

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at time of publication.

Course Duration

The course is delivered over one (1) year.

A minimum of 20 contact hours per week of study/tuition is required.

The course duration may vary for students who have been granted Credit Transfer (CT) or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) towards this course.

There is no work placement requirement for this course.

Pioneer College provides Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT) opportunities to all students. Students may apply for RPL or CT prior to enrolment or at any time during their studies if they have an existing competency or prior learning in any of the units offered in this course.
